Cassandra Rowell

Cassandra has a full scholarship for Gymnastics at Oregon State University and has managed the Oregon State Gymnastics team for 3 years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and she is the owner of The Gym-Nest. She is a representative of the Oregon Compulsory State Committee. She has previous experience at The Gym-Nest (for eight years): Successful Head Competitive Team Coach & Recreational Director and has many Regional Championships under her belt and placed sixth on the floor at Nationals.

Coach Haylie Hudson

Haylie has participated in gymnastics/tumbling for nine years.

She thinks it is such a great experience to help children learn the sport she loves so much. She enjoys seeing them get stronger and more confident.

Coach Janel

Janel started gymnastics when she was four years old. She joined the Gym-nest family when she was 8. Now, 12 years later, she still loves the sport and the people with all her heart. She began competing in 2013 and finished in 2019. She began coaching right after she graduated from high school. She loves the teaching side of gymnastics.

Janel is a student at Brigham Young University, majoring in Psychology and also enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog Summit.

Coach Nathalie

Nathalie was in gymnastics for about eight years. Three of those years, she competed for the Gym-nest.

Nathalie has a lot of experience with children, including being a camp counselor and babysitting.

Nathalie loves coaching, and she loves the sport of gymnastics.

Coach Bradley

Grace has been on the Gym-Nest competitive team for eight years. She was state champion on floor and beam and is a regional qualifier for level 7. Grace loves helping gymnasts reach their full potential.

Coach Gellar

Grace was a gymnast here at the gym-nest for four years. Grace competed on the competitive team. She started coaching in 2018.  Grace has grown from recreational coach to compulsory team coach. Grace has a lot of experience working with children. She was a youth counselor and a teacher’s preschool assistant at Liberty High School's child development program and became CDA certified. When she is not coaching, she attends Portland State University and majors in Child, Youth and Family Studies. She enjoys travelling, photography and working with animals.

Coach Joelynn

My name is Joelynn, and I am the Preschool director here at the Gym-Nest. In 2017, after 15 years of teaching classroom preschool. I came to work for the gym-nest as a preschool gymnastics coach. I love working with children, and nothing makes me happier than helping a young athlete accomplish a goal, finally complete a skill, or conquer fear.

When I am not in the gym, I love to spend time with my husband, three kids, two dogs and a cat. I love crafting and travelling. Thank you for sharing your children with us here at the Gym-nest!

Coach Hailey Werner

Hailey has participated in gymnastics since she was two years old. She joined the team when she was 9. She was level 5 Beam champion and All-around champion. Hailey is currently on the Optional team. She enjoys teaching her little sisters, who are on the Compulsory team. On her free time, she likes to bowl and goes to the beach. She enjoys coaching because she loves gymnastics and helping others learn new skills.
